Response Seven

The End... How did you like it?  Write about whether or not you liked the ending of the book.  Explain why you did or did not like the ending.  If you didn't like the ending, how did you want it to end?

I did like the ending but I really wanted to know more like, did Bert and Ariel get back together? Also, did Coop and Kate get together too? Then I wanted to know how the Pod did on trying to catch or kill Coop and Pat. The book was ok and it really only got interesting near the end, but the ending was a total cliffhanger for me.

I think the ending was good. I like the fact that Bert and Ariel were holding hands, which means they don't hate each other completely. I think it was cool that Pat, Coop, and Kate had to go incognito, by dying their hair and changing their names. I like the fact that the librarian is related to Kate and that was his motive for helping her. I don't think I would change anything about the ending. I think the author ended the book nicely, even though it was a cliffhanger.

I think that the ending could use a bit more information but other than that I liked it. I liked how Kate and Pat changed everything about themselves, their hair, names and a few other things. The end of the book on the last page was pretty good that they listened to a message from Coop and then it went to Pat/Bertrand.

I didn't really like how it ended. I wish it had more information, but it was a good ending. It seemed Bertrand and Ariel got back together, but what about Kate and Coop. Do they ever get together? Does Lod ever get put into jail? I really enjoyed the book. It was really interesting, especially with all the twists and turns and problems throughout the book.

I liked the ending because most of the people from the underground got arrested. What I really wanted to know was if Lod ever got thrown in Prison, also if Kate and Coop ever got together. It wasn't that interesting until coop got rescued.

The ending was cool. I liked that Pat and Coop sent a message to their parents. I also liked that their highest priority is finding out what Lod is up to. I liked how the last three words of the book where, “We are above.” Also that Coop was was taking care of Pat and Kate. Even that Pat and Kate would change everything about them to stay hidden.

  7. I loved the ending of Beneath. Although I thought it would give us more details, like are Coop and Kate finally dating yet? How is Enji? And where Alex was. I thought the book would give a little more description about what happened but besides that I really liked the ending and the book itself. I was glad the parents go together and finally realized that Coop and Pat are better than the three daughters and a parrot. All and all, I thought the book was amazing and I would definitely recommend it to someone.

  8. I think that the ending was a real cliffhanger. But I love cliffhangers because it keeps me thinking about the book for hours. It could have had a couple more bits of information to keep me trying to figure everything out. I wonder if Kate and coop got back together. I liked all the conflicts in the book. I also like how they solved some of the conflicts.

I liked the ending but it left me wanting to know more. I wanted to know where Coop, Pat and Kate went after they left The Deep and called Agent Ryan. I am also wondering if Kate and Coop are dating. I thought it would turn out different. I thought one of the parents would take care of Kate. One thing I liked was Pat and Coop sent a voice recorder message to their parents.

I like the ending. I liked how it ended with a recording to there parents. This shows that their parents are still in the picture. When I started reading the book I did not think it would end with a recording. I did like how it ended with a cliffhanger. It keeps you wondering about the book. It also makes you want to read more. It also can make a book more interesting.

  11. I liked the ending. One thing I would change about it is if they could give more detail about all characters. I like how the end involved their parents because I feel like they were kind of just there. Actually they weren't even because of what happened. I like hoe it keeps me thinking at the end of the book about everyone. Like who ended up dating who and all of that. But all in all, I enjoyed the ending of Beneath

I didn't really enjoy the ending of "Beneath" very much. I felt like it was kind of rushed and lacked some details. I was kind of confused how Coop and Pat's parents already knew about Kate and her parents. It would be nice if that could have been more explained. I also think that an "afterwards" would have been a good thing. I do realize it was supposed to be an ending that has a cliffhanger, but just a little more information might have made me like the ending a bit more.

  13. Dakota s. I did not really like the ending of the book there was not much details and I was confused when pat and Kate where in the small cramped tunnels it seemed like they where in a tunnel then in a building and close to that it sounded like they already got coop.

  14. I liked the ending. It was a interesting way to end the story. I loved the fact that the mom and dad of Pat and Coop got back together. I want Kate and Coop to be a couple.I wanted them to keep Anji. The entire idea of the story is really well thought out and I didn't like the cliffhanger ending.

  15. No, I didn't like the ending. It has a bad cliff hanger for me. The end has too many things that are unfinished and unresolved. Which brings me to this conclusion, this probably isn't the end. Maybe there is going to be sequel to this book. It might be a little clearer if this wasn't the last book, I suppose.

  16. After all the ending was grate it could have had more info like if all the couples that separated during the book get back to gather or not I mean if they had that then it would be perfect to me.

Well, There where some things I liked about the ending, but, there are some things I didn't like about the ending. For example, I felt like there were two endings. The first ending was when Coop and everyone escaped from the deep, met the librarian and got through all of LOD'S guards and dogs. And the second ending was when the FBI people explained to Pat that happened after they escaped the deep for example the c4 and gas rigged to blow. Also where the heck are Pats parents? I thought they where supposed to be there by Xmas or am I wrong? Also did they not call the house to check up on Pat, and if they did why didn't they file a missing persons report or call the police to see where he was. And last, I think that at the end they where hinting at another book when they said the're not safe at all yet. Over all I think the book was amazing, sure it was a little slow at times but it was great. I would recommend it to people and I give it a rating of 10/10.

I liked the book it had me always thinking. The end of the book made me mad because I hate it when books leave in a cliff Hagers. I would have liked the book to end in them going home and not on the run.

I liked the ending but it left me in question too much. I want to know what happened to the pod. Also what happened to the couples that split up. If I knew what happened to those people the book would have a perfect ending. Overall the ending was very good. I want to read a sequel.

The ending wasn't too bad. The whole book was pretty good and had a unique story line as well. I wouldn't mind reading it again but one thing I can say is that it ended on a cliffhanger, of which I am not a fan of. Other than that, it was good

I really liked the ending. It was a really good cliff hanger. I was on google trying to find a second book. That was one of the best I've read in a while. It was a little annoying that i didn't get to know what happens at the end. The whole plot line of the story was really good, I was always wanting to read more.

I like the ending of the book. I just wished that they caught the Pod at the end. Then there wouldn’t be a second book. I also hoped that Pat and Coop’s parents met Kate for the first time. I can’t wait to read the second book. By far, this was the best summer reading book ever!

  23. I loved the ending of the book. I just hope that Coop and Pat could have had on last dinner with their parents, I also would have liked it if Kate could have met their parents.

I thought it was a good book. It kept me interested throughout. I did not care for the ending of the book though. I did not like how it just left you wondering and questioning what still could have happen. I would have preferred if they all could have been able to go home, and gone back to their normal lives. For example, on a holiday it would be nice for them to all sit at the dinner table and just be happy. I also feel like it would have been better if Kates parents were able to escape and Kate could have know them. Then she would have been able to read book and have normal kid things.

I liked the ending. I’m glad Pat and Coop got out alive. I was surprised to learn that the Librarian was Lod’s brother. The ending was confusing at first but I got it in the end. The ending cleared up a lot of questions. For example, who the Lod was. Also what happened to Kate’s parents. If I was to rate the ending from 1-5 it would be a 4. The ending was probably my favorite part. (A.K.A parts 4-5)

  26. I like the ending of the book and the reason is because they had to leave right a way after Pat finished taking to his parents.

I really enjoyed the book. I loved to imagine what their world would look like. I wasn’t a big fan of the part when they had to crawl through the brick pile. Just thinking about how small that tunnel was gave me a stomach ache. I didn’t like the ending though. I thought that the kids were going to get back to their family. I expected the book to show when Pat and Coop’s parents to get back together. I also wanted Pat and Coop to get reunited with their family. I wanted Kate and Alex to move in or next to Pat and Coop. I also wanted Lod to get caught be the police. All in all I liked the book very much.

I didn't really like the book. Trying to imagine all the tunnels you had to sneak through game me the chills. I can't imagine always having to be really careful about what you do so you don't die. I didn't really enjoy the ending either. I would've liked to know more about what happened with Pat, Coop, and Kate. Like if Lod ever found them or if they made it to safety. I wanted to know if Pat's parents got back together and lived a normal life again with Pat and Coop.

I did not like the ending. There was no closure or ending to the story. I do like that Pat, Coop & Kate are together. It's nice to know that they can be happy together even if it means they are being protected and moving all the time. The ending left a lot of open ends with Lod and the people he took with him. I hope Pat & Coop get to stay together.

I really liked reading this book. Just imagining all the things that they went thought was really real to me. I did not like the ending of the book though. It felt like not all the ends were tied together. There were still some things that I was not sure about. I really wanted to find out what happened to Kate, Coop, and Pat.

  31. I Hated the ending because it was the worst cliff hanger ever. It was a very clear and understandable ending. It needed to be more descriptive or end somewhere else because it could have told us if Bertrand And Ariel got back together or if Lawrence got arrested. I also would have known if Coop and Kate got together. But I hated that ending.

  32. The end of the book wasn't what I thought, I thought that we would get to learn more about LOD but i still enjoyed the ending. I liked the ending of the book because it tied in everything that happened with Coop and Pat's parents. It told us that Kate, Pat, and Coop made it safely out of the deep, but now they're undergoing the second part of their plan. Which was planned by LODs brother. I was surprised to find out that LOD has a brother and that his brother is the librarian. It also surprised me that LOD tried to kill his brother along with Kate's parents. Although the ending gave us some information about how everyone is doing, I would've liked it if we got to find out what happened on LODs side of the story too.

The ending of the book could've been better. It would have been nice to know more about Coop and Kate's relationship, and Ariel and Bertrand's. The end was really short and simple, it could've been a lot more descriptive and exciting. I also would've liked more information of LOD and the Originals. Knowing more about what Kate, Coop and Pat were doing would've been much more interesting than the ending. I really liked the book though, it was really exciting and fun to read.

I didn't prefer the ending. I'm not a huge fan of cliffhangers, but It was also kind of cool that they sent a message to their parents. I wanted to know about what happened with Coop and Kate. I wanted to know if Lod and the Originals ever got captured, or if they escaped. I didn't really prefer the book either. I just think it could of been more interesting.

I personally like the ending of the book beneath. It tied up all the loose ends perfectly and gave the book a final polish with a possibility to another book, with a kind of cliffhanger. I really liked how in the end the book it told a bit about Coop and Pat’s parents, and how they got back together, so when Lod and his people are caught Coop and Pat can go back to a happy and stable family. I also liked how in the very end a recording of Coop and Pat was passed, because it gave the book a nice touch and kind of gave it a happy ending. I was happy to know that coop finally found what he had been looking for beneath,(Kate) and that Lod is being chased after and they have his people. I enjoyed the book Beneath(although i would've wished for more detail) and am looking forward to a sequel to know what will happen next.

I didn't exactly like the ending, I think it ended way too quick, they got out, and the next thing you know its talking about their parents and how Coop, Pat, and Kate all have to hide. I think it should have ended with them getting to the top, and have Lod waiting up there to sabotage them, and they have to fight back, or run away, or something else that involves them evading Lod.

I did not like the ending because it happened too soon. I prefer books with smooth slow stops over abrupt stops. I am very proud that I guessed correctly at who the librarian was and this satisfaction made the ending better but it was still a bit to rushed. If I were the author then I would have a happy ending with a family reunion and Lod behind bars. Then unexpectedly he escapes and the book ends leaving more material for another book. It seems a little dramatic but I think that it would greatly improve the ending of this book.
